# Typo in documentation (?)

Hi there,
In the process of using the persistent mode on one of my variables I found out that in the documentation it is called persistant with an a instead.
I am not sure that is intended or is a little error, I just wanted to let you know.

Hi Antonino,
It’s not an error in the documentation. Rather, it’s a misspelling that someone made when implementing that feature (not me, thank goodness, as it predates my involvement with MWorks). Unfortunately, I can’t just change it without breaking existing experiments. I’ve thought about ways to gracefully accept both spellings, but I haven’t implemented one yet.
For the time being, we’re stuck with “persistant”, which embarrasses me every time I see it.
