Hi Christopher,
I’m a new MW user. I see in previous threads that you mention a “random dot” plugin.
When I click on the link you provide to get it, however, it gives me a 404 error.
The plugin is also not present in the MW i’m using (0.5.1).
Is there any chance the plugin is still available? Where can i find it, in case?
I thank you in advance,
Regards
Rosilari
Hi Rosilari,
The random dots plugin is available in the MWorks nightly build. In MWEditor, you’ll find it under “Stimuli → Moving Dots”. There are some example experiments in /Library/Application Support/MWorks/Developer/tests/XML/Stimulus/MovingDots
.
The plugin hasn’t been included in an MWorks release because, so far, no one has been interested in using it in production, and therefore it hasn’t been subjected to any “real world” testing. If you try it and find it useful, then I’d be happy to include it in the next official release. Also, I’m open to suggestions on how to improve it. If you find that it doesn’t meet your needs in its current state, please let me know, and we can work together to make it usable for you.
Cheers,
Chris Stawarz
Hi Chris,
Thanks a lot for the hint.
I have now installed the nightly-version and I’m testing the random-dots plugin.
I’ll keep you posted with any problem/question/need i might have!
Thanks again
Rosilari
