Backporting Firmata plugin to MWorks 0.6

Hi Chris,

I have another question for you. For reasons not related to MWorks, I will
be using a machine with version 10.8.5 of the OS system. Which if I
understand it correctly, means that we can go for MWorks version 0.6. And
this version does not have built-in the ‘Firmata’ support (once more, if
I’m getting it right). Chris, it would be great if you could guide me on
how to install the ‘Firmata’ pugin (just to confirm, this is the code I
downloaded:
mworks/plugins/core/Firmata at master · mworks/mworks · GitHub).

Hi Mariana,

Sorry, but I don’t provide support for backporting new features to old MWorks versions.

You’ve found the correct code, and it may be possible to get it working with 0.6. But when it comes to figuring out the if and how, you’re on your own.

I’m really sorry to bug you further, I have 1 question and 1 problem.

Question: Did you look into sending words via arduino/firmata within MWorks?

Problem: I’m trying to compile MWorks and I keep encountering this ‘fatal
error: ‘pyconfig.h’ file not found’ and I am having a hard time ‘patching’
it. Do you have any suggestion?
