Hi Chris,
I’m having a couple problems with the new eye window. I can’t see auxiliary analog signals (but I can see digital signals), and when I try to delete variables from any of the fields in the options pop-out, the MWorks Client crashes.
Thanks,
Evan
Hi Evan,
I can’t see auxiliary analog signals
Are you using an actual analog input signal (e.g. from a NIDAQ), or are you just setting the aux X/Y variables manually?
At present, the eye window is designed such that only continuously-varying analog signals will be displayed. If the input variables are sitting at fixed values, then you won’t see anything in the eye window.
If you are using real analog inputs, then I’ll need some more info, as the aux signal plotting works for me.
when I try to delete variables from any of the fields in the options pop-out, the MWorks Client crashes
That’s definitely a bug. I’ll try to get a fix in to the nightly build soon.
Thanks,
Chris
After our discussion, the problem was that one of the X/Y variables was a digital variable which wasn’t updating as often as the analog. The aux X/Y requires both X and Y variables configured, and only updates when both variables are updated.
It might be better if these requirements weren’t there for aux X/Y (as opposed to the eye signal), but I’ll discuss it with the lab. It’s not really an inconvenience right now, and there might be reasons to leave it as it is.
