Mworks Eyelink Offset

Hi Chris,

I’ve noticed something strange with one of our monkeys while fixating. He can calibrate well but as soon as the RSVP stimulus set starts it seems his fixation is offset upwards instead of in the center. He is the only monkey that this seems to be an issue for in the rig, so to diagnose it further I was wondering if MWorks has any settings to create a fixation offset. For example, we want to be able to adjust his fixation point 2mm lower than eyelink thinks it is without affecting where the image/fixation point is shown on screen.

Is there a setting or variable for this kind of adjustment?

Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

Does your experiment use one of MWorks’ built-in calibrators (such as the linear eye calibrator) to convert EyeLink pupil coordinates to MWorks screen coordinates? If so, then you should be able to use MWClient’s Eye Calibrator Window to manually adjust the offsets. To do so, open the Eye Calibrator Window, change the Horizonal and/or Vertical Offset values as desired, then click Update.

I think that will do what you want, but if it doesn’t work, please let me know!

Cheers,
Chris

I think we figured out a potential fix without needing to change anything with mworks, thanks Chris!
