MWorks reported size for parametric shapes

Hi Chris -

Quick question:

For the parametric shapes, what does MWorks report as the stimulus size? Is it the size based on the user-provided vertices or is it based on the output of the spline interpolation step implemented by the plugin?

Hi Yasmine,

It’s neither of those. It’s the size your experiment sets with the x_size and/or y_size parameters of the stimulus. Those define the box in which the shape is rendered. Whether or not any part of the stimulus reaches the edges of the box depends on the vertex_coord_range and margin_pixels parameters.
