Hi Chris,
I have trouble with digital I/O channel in MWorks.
how to assign the input or output in the same port? can you come sometime tomorrow morning? thanks!

Hi Jing,

Unfortunately, the National Instruments driver that MWorks uses (NI-DAQmx Base) does not support using a single port for both input and output. A given port must be all input lines or all output lines, not a mixture of the two.

However, MWorks can use multiple NIDAQ devices in a single experiment, so if you need additional digital channels, you can add another DAQ to your setup. See this article for the list of devices supported by NI-DAQmx Base, which includes some relatively low-cost USB DAQ’s.
