Will the current release of MWorks run on 10.7?
Yes, it runs on 10.7. However, it hasn’t been tested extensively, and I’m not aware of any labs currently using MWorks+10.7 in production setups.
The only issue I’ve seen when running MWorks under 10.7 is that timers and scheduled actions fire a bit later than they did under 10.6. The delay is pretty small (in my experience, a few hundred microseconds), so I doubt this will impact any real experiments. However, it’s something to be aware of.
If you’re using an ITC-18, be warned that the driver installer is a PowerPC executable. Since OS X 10.7 drops support for Rosetta, the installer won’t run on 10.7 systems. I’ve been meaning to write a little script that will extract the drivers from the installer package and move them into place; if you need this, please let me know.
