Setting Up New iPad with MWorks

Hi Chris,

Our lab got a new iPad and we are trying to use it as a secondary monitor for our experiments. Unfortunately, when we try to load the experiment on the iPad from our laptop we get a “Failed to create object error”. Please see below for the full console output at the time of failure.

When we load the same experiment on a different (much older) iPad, everything loads without error.

FYI: Our Mac and old iPad are running MWorks 0.11, the new iPad is running MWorks 0.13.

Hi Elizaveta,

Our Mac and old iPad are running MWorks 0.11, the new iPad is running MWorks 0.13.

I’m pretty sure this is the problem. You can’t mix versions of MWorks like this. The client and server (in this case, MWClient on the Mac and the MWorks app on the iPad) must always be the same version of MWorks.

If you upgrade to MWorks 0.13 on your Mac, I expect the experiment will load successfully. If not, please let me know!
